Psi. is a digital tool that presents established, peer-reviewed psychiatric rating scales and questionnaires. Several recognized versions exist for most scales; the version used and its source are indicated for each scale on the Methodology page, along with any adaptation (digital format, scoring details). Psi. functions as a digital interface for instruments that are already published and used in clinical practice.

Psi. computes scores according to the scoring instructions of the sources cited for each scale. Where multiple scoring conventions exist in the literature, Psi. applies the most conservative or most widely cited cutoff and documents the choice in the Methodology section.

Psi. does not generate diagnoses, clinical recommendations, treatment suggestions, or prognoses. It does not apply any proprietary algorithm, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or statistical model to the data entered by the user. It is a calculator and a presentation layer — nothing more.

Psi. is not a medical device. It has not been certified, cleared, or approved under any medical device regulatory framework, including but not limited to:

• European Union: Psi. does not bear the CE marking and has not been evaluated or certified under Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (Medical Device Regulation — MDR) or any prior directive.
• United States: Psi. has not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under Section 510(k), the De Novo pathway, or any Premarket Approval (PMA) process. It is not listed as a registered medical device with the FDA.
• Other jurisdictions: Psi. has not received regulatory clearance or approval from any national or regional health authority worldwide.

Psi. is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease or medical condition. It is not intended to replace, supplement, or override the professional judgment of any qualified healthcare provider.

Users should not rely on Psi. as a medical device, and should not make any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic decision based solely on Psi. output without independent clinical assessment.

Psi. may be used by qualified healthcare professionals — including licensed physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, and other credentialed practitioners operating within the scope of their professional authorization. It may also be used by individuals for informational and self-screening purposes; however, no self-assessment using Psi. should be considered a substitute for a professional evaluation.

The scores and severity interpretations displayed by the application are derived from standardized psychometric instruments and are provided strictly for informational and reference purposes. They do not constitute a medical opinion, a diagnosis, a clinical recommendation, or a prescription.

Neither Liminal Pictures, nor its founder, nor any contributor to the development or maintenance of Psi., shall be held liable — under any legal theory (contract, tort, strict liability, negligence, or otherwise) — for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or in connection with:

• The use or inability to use Psi.;
• Any clinical decision, act, or omission made in reliance on Psi. output;
• Any misdiagnosis, delayed diagnosis, inappropriate treatment, or adverse patient outcome;
• Any interpretation of scale results by any user, whether professional or non-professional;
• Any technical malfunction, data loss, scoring error, or software defect;
• Any unauthorized access to, or misuse of, the user's device, or of results displayed or exported (e.g. PDF) on it.

By using Psi., the user expressly acknowledges that all clinical responsibility for patient care rests solely and entirely with the treating practitioner, and that neither Liminal Pictures nor its founder assumes any duty of care toward any patient or end-user.

Healthcare professionals using Psi. in a clinical context are solely responsible for:

• Selecting the appropriate rating scale for the patient's clinical presentation;
• Ensuring the selected scale is validated for the patient's population, age group, and clinical context;
• Interpreting scores within the broader clinical picture, taking into account comorbidities, medication effects, cultural context, and patient history;
• Complying with all applicable professional, ethical, and legal obligations governing their practice;
• Safeguarding any patient data entered into Psi. in accordance with applicable data protection laws (including but not limited to the EU General Data Protection Regulation, HIPAA, and local healthcare data regulations).

Psi. is not a substitute for clinical training, clinical supervision, or continuing professional education.

We collect personal information only when you fill out the contact form. The information collected may include your name, email address, and message. Messages are transmitted and retained through our host's form service (Netlify Forms), where they are accessible to the founder alone; they are deleted on request. In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to request access to, rectification, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us through the contact form or at liminal.pictures.prod@gmail.com.

Psi. does not store any questionnaire data: answers are processed in memory and cleared when the page is closed. Only the language preference is stored (key lp_lang, in the browser's local storage or, failing that, a cookie).

The Psi. website uses only a single cookie or local storage entry storing the language preference (lp_lang), which is strictly necessary for the site to function properly. We do not use any tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies. No cookie data is shared with third parties.

Fonts and icons are hosted with the site itself: no third-party resource is loaded, including in the exported PDF.

If you believe any content found on this site or in the application infringes on your copyrights, please send notice to liminal.pictures.prod@gmail.com and provide the following information, as specified by 17 USC §512(c):

• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
• A physical address, telephone number, or e-mail address where you can be contacted.
